SSC JE (Junior Engineer) Eligibility Criteria :
The candidates applying for the recruitment held by the SSC for the selection of individuals for the JE must be eligible for the post. Therefore to evaluate the eligibility of the candidates the SSC has prescribed major criteria which will review the eligibility of the candidates as per the requirement.
The candidates must be eligible and qualified under the official eligibility in order to apply for the post of JE through the recruitment,those candidates who are found to be ineligible for the JE will not be accepted as an eligible candidate and the application of the candidates will be forfeited form the recruitment.
So the candidates must have the following eligibility as per the requirements set by the SSC in terms of eligibility assessment of the candidates:-
Age Limit:- The age is an important factor for any service recruitment, thus in case of JE recruitment the candidates must be between age :-
- 18 years to 27 for JE(Civil & Electrical).
- 18 years to 30 year for JE (Civil) & JE (Electrical & Mechanical).Applicable for BRO of Ministry of Defense.
- 18 years to 32 years for JE(Civil & Mechanic).
- 18 years to 27 years for JE(Quantity Surveying and Contract).

Educational Qualification:- To be eligible for the JE the candidates must possess the educational qualification for :-
Junior Engineer (Civil & Electrical):- Candidates must possess a Diploma in Civil or electrical/Mechanical Engineering from a Central Government recognized institute or equivalent.
Junior Engineer (Civil & Electrical), Department of Posts:- Candidates with 3 years Diploma or equivalent in Civil Engineering or Electrical Engineering from any government recognized institute if eligible for the post. Border Roads Organisation (BRO) Ministry of Defense.
Junior Engineer(Civil) :- Candidates must have the following educational qualification of (a) JE(Civil) 3 years of Diploma in Civil Engineering or equivalent from a recognized Institute.2 years if work experience in the field of civil construction and executive of projects.
Junior Engineer (Electrical and Mechanical):- For this department the candidates must have the below mentioned eligibility:- JE(Electrical & Mechanical) 3 years Diploma in Engineering (Electrical or Mechanical) from a recognized Institute. 2 years of work experience in the field of Electrical or Mechanical Engineering of construction in monitoring and executive of projects.
Junior Engineer (Civil & Mechanical):- Candidates with a Degree or Diploma in Civil or Mechanical Engineering from a recognized Institution are eligible for this post.
Junior Engineer (Civil) & Junior Engineer (Electrical & Mechanical) & Junior Engineer(QS&C): Those candidates who have a Degree in Civil Engineering form any recognized University OR with 3 years of Diploma in Civil engineering OR 3 years diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering OR years Diploma in Civil engineering from a recognized institute/University/Board or equivalent educational qualification are eligible for the post.

Written Exam:- The written exam is the most important selection stage for the recruitment of the individuals for the JE (Junior Engineer) post conducted by the SSC. The candidates will be selected based upon their performance or the score they have secured in the written exam which is

- Paper 2 will carry total of 300 marks.

NOTE:- Those candidates who have applied for the Junior Engineer (Civil), Junior Engineer(Quantity Surveying & Contract) are required to attempt only the Part A of Paper 1 and Paper 2 as per the option offered in the application.
However for those candidates applying for the post of Junior Engineer (Electrical) should attempt only Part-B (Electrical) of the Paper 1 and Paper 2. For those candidates for the Junior Engineer (Mechanical) need to attempt the Part C(Mechanical) of Paper 1 and Paper 2.
Interview:- The candidates who pass the written exam that includes both the paper 1 and 2 will then be called for the interview round or the personality test round. The interview will be conducted for a total of 100 marks, thus the candidates must pass the interview round to ensure their selection.
The interview will be conducted by the concerned authorities with the objective being the personality and psychological assessment of the candidates to ensure the good being of the candidates in terms both. The candidates who pass the interview round will be shortlisted for the appointment by the SSC based on the total marks scored by the candidate in written exam and interview.
SSC JE Admit Card 2019 :
Now after the candidates have completed filled and submitted their online application will need to wait for the release of the admit card cum call letters.
